The Navy has launched an MMO gaming initiative known as the Massive Multiplayer Online War Game Leveraging the Internet (MMOWGLI), a joint effort between the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), the Institute for the Future (IFTF) and the Office of Naval Research . It centers around an online game designed to crowd source ideas and strategies that may provide insight into some of the Navy’s toughest problems.
