The prize pool for the upcoming most lucrative eSports, League of Legends 2014, is over $2 million and the victorious team gets half of it. The World Championship event will be on October and a so-called rulebook by Gamespot was revealed and made available. As outlined in the rulebook, the whopping $1 million prize goes to the champ, the second placer gets $250 thousand, the third and fourth gets $150 thousand and the remaining top 8 will bring home $75 thousand each.
League of Legends has set its record but Dota still tops the chart since its most recent prize pool reached over $10 million.
